Charger thingie for Wii remotes?
I just grabbed Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 and went to play it only to find the batteries in both my Wii remotes were flat, I'm sure I only changed them recently so it's a bit annoying.
I know there are various plug and charge type things for the Wii but has anyone got one that can recommend it? I'd rather get one that I know is going to work and work well than buy a hunk of junk. It's got to be better than shelling out for multiple sets of AAs.

I was thinking about that - It does seem from a lot of reviews that the chargers are killing remotes so I may just grab a pack of 2800mAh jobbies and a charger.

How often does the Wii get used? If it's all the time, then any decent set of batteries should do. If there are times when it doesn't get used for a while, then you may want to look at Sanyo Eneloop...
http://component-shop.co.uk/html/instant.html Not as high capacity, but they're supposed to retain their charge a lot better. |

Ooo, I've no experience of those Eneloops, are they any good?
/edit - Reviews and general googling says they are *buying* Thanks Mark and Lozza

Have you got these yet? What do you think?
(I'm considering a battery stock up as some as my NiMH are getting a little tired). |

Aye, got them and they seem to work very well - Plus the supplied charger has done a great job of breathing some life into the few older NiMH batteries I have that were showing signs of age.

No sign of the batteries yet, but the new charger is here. Though I have no doubt the charger on the site I linked is very good, I've heard very good things about Ansmann, and that charger also works worldwide which will be very handy next month.
Put my old batteries in there and it pretty much told me 'you've been using a crap charger, haven't you?' |
