Coffins
Whilst looking for something else on one of our shared web platforms I came across this gem of a site:
http://www.crazycoffins.co.uk Got me pondering.. if you were going to be buried, what coffin would you want?

I'd like to be wrapped in Rizla to make the Biggest J in the World. Then carried to my grave as is with the little Twisty bit at the end blowing in the wind, I'd also like Frank done up like a Clipper lighter & buried with me

I'm having a tomb, with treasure, and booby traps... with a little surprise at the end...
There's no treasure. Mwahahahaha!

The egg is pretty cool, although i agree it is a waste of wood. If they could make me one out of packing crates i'd be happy. I have already decided that i want to be cremated rather than being left laying about in the ground.

Put me behind the wheel of the truck, bungee chord the steering wheel, load the back full of cinder blocks and drop one on the gas pedal. Have the truck pointed at something rather solid.
The gigantic rusty smear mark will be my legacy!!

I want to be buried. I don't mind what the coffin looks like but then the funeral etc it all for the loved one you leave behind and their comfort so whatever is chosen.

In my experience I have found burials worse than cremations. I don't think I could put my loved ones through that.

Really? I find burials far more comforting, I'm catholic though and it's in my religion to be buried rather than cremated. I don't practice anymore but it's hard to get away from the indoctrination. Cliff's nan was cremated and I couldn't even stay in the room at the time, it was awful and cloying. I couldn't bear to be shut in that room while the coffin went behind the curtains. The thought made me feel ill.

Personally I prefer cremation, and to have my ashes scattered somewhere meaningful to me. Like maybe the dunes at Formby's red squirrel reserve. I no longer need the carbon, might as well let it get back into the ecosystem
