Default Interesting ways to cook pork chops?

Right, I've just had my food delivery and realised I've got 6 good pork chops and I have no interesting ways of cooking them!

I usually just quick fry with some olive oil, whack a bit of honey in and stick in the oven to cook through.

So, get with the recipes!!! (please )

You could cook them naked and blindfold with latin jazz playing full blast in the background.

Will probably be disastrous but you asked for interesting, not tasty!

Try my Ghetto BBQ.

Just nail the meat to the neighbours fence & set alight to it

Fry them off peppered, in a little olive oil, just to seal them. Tip in a tin of pears (yes, tinned pears) in juice and bung them in a low oven for about an hour.

Nom nom nom!

Slash the surface, rub with dark soy and grill. The chops need to be ~3cm thick to grill well though, otherwise they dry out too much.

Some fantastic recipes and techniques!

I think I shall combine the best parts of Belmit's and Lozza's ideas for my first go

I'll have to scale the meal down which shouldn't be too hard.

Then it'll be Johnny and JSB's ideas for the second attempt

Faysh's next and I'll save Acid's for the ribs I've got

Does sound like a damn good ribs marinade. Now, I can't remember where I read this about ribs but it makes total sense. You poach them in flavoured stock for about 45 mins to an hour which will make them super soft and gets the flavour all the way through, then whack them in the oven with their tasty sticky coating on for about 15-20 mins to caramelise the coating. Stops the coating burning and makes the ribs softer.

So I'd simmer the ribs for 45 minutes in Acid's marinade with about a litre of water added. Take them out, cover in neat Acid marinade, then in the oven for 20 mins. Grom nyom nyom

Is that Nitric Acid or Thioglycolic Acid?

I'd hope it's not the latter as we keep that in a little tiny tin, inside a bigger tin that's full of sawdust, inside a locked cabinet at work

Your right that is the best way. But I wouldn't add marinade. Stick on a roasting tray, cover with water, seal with tin foil and stick in the oven for around 4+ hours at around 100. Then marinade and leave for a few hours then grill.

I was to asda so went to get some ribs today and they just plain don't sell them..

However I have to go back to my parents this week end, so I will stop in at one of the best farm shops around and get several racks as a rack comes to about £1. Probably get some belly as well. Cheap cuts are awesome.

All you want is some ribs and some sweet potato wedges.
