After a mere three years of putting up with 18-odd stone of hairy northener falling heavily onto it, a spring has finally gone on my sofa.

Do I ignore it, try and convince my gf to swap sides with me or try and fix it?

Is it broken or just come loose?

The springs were forever 'breaking' on our ****ty landlord provided student sofas, in the end we just took a stanley knife to the bottom and they were just unhooked, so we hooked them all back in, good as new.

Until I saw the photos I had images of a spring sticking out of the top, with like cuddly toy or something like a Jack in the Box.
