What's everyones view on this? Have you ever had one or thought about it?
Any experiences? I had one yesterday and I'm not feeling to well today. I felt very faint before and during gym today and it wasn't until later I thought it might be a side affect.

Never had so much as a cold in my life, so I'm not about to start getting myself jabbed with things for the sake of it - my body can take care of itself.

I have to say even if I were offered one for free, I wouldn't take it. I don't like taking pills at hte best of times, let alone have jabs for the sake of having them.
Flu is a virus and mutates almost on a daily basis, whilst the jab can prevent a lot of combinations of the virus it's not flawless and I'm a firm believer that our bodies were designed to recover from illness. The only pills I've ever taken to protect me were malaria and yellow fever tablets, however I never got the side effects people seem to have. I'm very strange or very lucky. However, if it helps people then I'm all for it - it's daft not receiving treatment if it's beneficial to you.

Had mine today. More from a preventative point of view. I am mildly Asthmatic so the way I look at it costs the NHS £x to give me the injection. If I ever did get the flu it would cost my employer considerably more with me being off. I can honestly say that I have only ever had flu once and it's awful. So this is more prevention than anything else

Yeah i agree it mutates, but they catch the strain earlier around the world don't they, as it spreads across? And use that as a basis for the jab at the time, no? So you're protected against roughly the strain that round at that present moment in time (until it obviously mutates again).

Really? Do you really think the flu jab is more beneficial than not? I'd; have thought a healthy person like yourself would cope better without one?

I thought flu jabs was for people with low immune systems ie diabetics, old peeps and poorly children/adults.
Like Will said I thought a healthy person as yourself Huddy wouldn't need it. Hope you stop feeling pants soon ![]() |
