The NXE ramble thread
A thread solely devoted to when we want to go 'oooooh look at this'.
Just installed Fallout 3 to the HD as it was already in the drive, took 11mins or so. Have to see if it makes any noticable difference. It's taken up 6gb so no more game installations for me!

Gears of War 2 was noticeably quieter, didn't really notice whether it was quicker.
Personally I'm bowled over by almost everything. almost. Firstly, one of the changes I really wanted still isn't implemented, I don't care when a friend signs on, so don't want to see it, but I do want to see messages, invites and achievements. Secondly, everything has changed, gone to the new colour scheme and style except for the notifications which now look both too low of a resolution and out of place against the new Blue-Grey and Green scheme with square edges. Thirdly, when browsing the games some have backgrounds which look great, but far too many don't. In fact, I only saw Gears of War 2 and Call of Duty 5 that did, new games like Dead Space and Mirror's Edge didn't, so I'm sure almost all old games won't either except perhaps Halo 3 and Gears of War. Shame. Fourthly, I thought we were supposed to be able to see the themes before we bought them? Other than that, so far, I really like everything |

Yeah I noticed it doesn't match up as well as it used to.

If you mean theme previewing that's only when you're looking over what you've already downloaded.
Still hoping that themes on the online marketplace actually show you what they look like, but that's not an announced feature.

I may well treat myself to a new theme anyway. Currently have ~2500 points in the bank, and just had a dispatch email for 2 x 2100 points I preordered ages ago for dead cheap

I know I know
I ordered them when I had no points, figured I'd get 2 because they were cheap, they went on back order and I forgot about them. Just bought a 2100 topup and found out I'm getting 2 more

Just like me... I'm down to 3600 points. When ever I get to around 2000 I order a couple more 2100 packs from Tesco... You never know when you might see something you want.

I need to buy some more actually, is Tesco still the best deal around? I keep missing them on Zavvi at the reduced price
