Has anyone got one of these? If so I have a few questions:
Does it track well? Is it comfortable? What's the build quality like? I replaced an MX1000 with a Razer Copperhead and I've already had 1 replacement. The build quality of them seems fairly poor imo and I think I'd like to go back to logitech. |

It last about 5 days of constant use before the red light comes on and then it'll last another day quite easily for me.
I've been using it for about 3 months now, the wheel was the big change for the mouse compared to all other mouse. I love it now especially when scrolling down webpages, it just glides down them double quick. |

Apparently it only has an 800DPI sensor - which probably is enough, however I think I may pickup a G7.

Yup, I've installed it. The thumb wheel now turns the volume up and down and pressed on it will make it mute. Middle click button works like all other mouse, ie - links to a new tab in Firefox. The only button that's redundant is the button below the wheel.

1 - Click all the time 2 - Free wheel all the time And to switch between them, press down on the wheel. Or what I use 3 - Click all the time until it spin above a certain speed. Which is what I like when web browsing, slow click wheel when reading a page slowly and if I want to get to the bottom of a long page i flick it with my finger and it goes into a free wheel mode and it scrolls that the page double quick. You can also assign the wheel to go into certain modes for any specific program. |

are you running XP or Vista ?
Im on Vista using the 64bit drivers What i have found is when i open a window with a small scroll bar if the wheel is in free wheel mode as i go to move it it changes to click mode like it knows its a small page, also if i close all windows from the desktop it does the same. As soon as i open a web page like the forums here it will switch back to free wheel mode |
