The big question then... what games should I be looking at? Sonic? Mario? Mario Kart (like the online play idea)?

My personal recommendations:
Super Mario Bros.....yes I've only had it for an afternoon but I know it rocks and will continue to do so Mario Kart is good fun Not played it online yet but I really enjoy it single player anyway. Brain Training is great fun and you can find it for about £12 on ebay. Only tend to play it a little while each day but it still feels worth the money with its strange addictiveness. Advance Wars: Dual Strike is a good turn based strategy game. I think Tesco Jersey still has it for £12 and some Tesco stores should still do so. Mario 64 is good but I do find myself mainly playing the mini games rather than the actual game. I've also got Tetris DS and Zoo Keeper but I find they're acquired tastes. Not hugely impressed by Tetris DS although I've not played it online yet so maybe it's better then. Zoo Keeper is good fun and strangely addictive, it's bejewelled basically. My Mum has played it every evening for 45mins or so for the last 10 months I used to have Sonic Rush and I wasn't overly impressed, it just didn't feel like traditional Sonic to me Don't forget GBA games, know you used to have a GBA but can't remember if you sold everything. I've got Yoshi's Island and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance which are fantastic games Edit: Oh and I've got Harvest Moon DS on pre-order for August and I'm tempted to pre-order Zelda and Star Fox too Ooh and final Fantasy 4 is out at Christmas

You can borrow Tetris if you like.

Hehe mine did the same thing. Bought it mainly for her but it's not weaned her off Zoo Keeper yet
I swear that game has subliminal messages to keep her playing.
