Throttling != blocking. Should still be able to make a connection.

He just said hes getting under 30k/s speeds, thus he is getting some data through?
Faysh, go to start -> Run -> CMD and type netstat -a. This will tell you what ports are open on your pc. What firewall are you using btw? Zonealarm or windows firewall?

actually faysh, I think you have made an error with your port map. Instead of the port you want open, I think it should be the ip address of the pc to which you want the port to point to?

That's what I thought as I read down, surely the map is the IP of the PC you're torrenting from?

The port map field you mean? Looks ok to me. Just giving the option to map to a different internal port (port 80 being the common one, keeps your internal site off default ports on the web).

It has its uses. I have no problem using it at home - I have control over all the hosts on the network, and it's very convenient - particularly for Xbox Live. It has no place for corporate use of course

ahh.
Faysh, have you set your ip address on your computer instead of leaving it to DHCP? You then need to add it to a group and allow the port to farward to that group it would seem going from the instructions.

Tiscali, I suspect they do throttle me. I got a warning for heavy downloading during peak hours a few months back. I don't torrent during peak hours now.

Windows firewall. Should I try ZoneAlarm instead? It does. And it tell me it's enabled. Not waving, only drowning...
