Default Firewalls...

Now I have a Draytek 2910G router, with a fairly comprehensive firewall. I do not run a software based one - is it wise to do so? I've never really had any trouble so I guess my router does a good job. Although I guess I may not actually know if someone gains access.

Run a software firewall if you either fear attacks from within your network (highky unlikely), or require outbound program control.

I haven't run a software firewall in a very long time. You secure for that sort of thing at the edge, which is now your router. A firewall wont protect from the things you should be worried about, ie, browser hijacks/exploits and dodgy email attachments.

That's essentially what I thought. I've just set my router to block all gambling sites...and it works. I'm chuffed haha.
