Pirates of The Caribbean 1,2 and... nearly 3!
WHAT A GENIUS FILUM!
I hearted the first and second one soooooooo much! How completely awesome! I laughed so so much whilst watching it... wanted to have sword fights and was kept on the edge of my seat through it all! Great combination! Keira Knightely (Liz), despite being my arc enemy as she is pout and skinny queen and I think that's a bit moose like.... was FANTASTIC! I was well impressed with her little strops and things in the filum! Maybe it wasn't acting?! Who knows! Johnny Depp (Captain Jack Sparrow)... my lordy lordy what a sheer god! I loved him to pieces - he made me laugh so much! He's such a wicked actor! Really... completely and utterly fantastic stuff - especially is random facial twitches! I loved it! What a charming, handsome beast! Orlando Bloom (Will Turner) - bit of a wet rag and felt it could have been quite rigid acting buuuuuuut that was what he was supposed to be like so I figured he did gooood! But but but yeh... Liz and Jack Sparrow! They HAVE to get it on in the third! I should hopefully be going to see it tomorrow - but I think the tension between them was immense! Albeit Keira tends to be a complete whore in filums (ie, Love Actually where she snogs that man despite being married)... it's got to happen! I reckon she hearts him. Picky thinks not. He thinks it's all coincidence (ie the compass pointing at Jack Sparrow on the wee island... Picky said it was pointing in that directiong cos Will Turner was coming up behind him)! I dunno. I think it was fab and should happen! Morally probably not right but they'd rule together! What do you peoples thinkys?! Like the filum too? You know... I think these filums are on par with X men likability to me (which scores blooming highly!) It may even over take Spidey man! *Shock Horror!* Loving it! Would love to be in that filum. I wanna be a pirate. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR me hearties! |

I thought it was utter tripe...
Went last sunday and spent the last 3rd of the film wanting a drink as I was so bored and thirsty - just wanted it to be over tbh. Here's what I said in other places: Really disappointed with this film. Thought the first was great and the second was too... with the ending being annoyingly brill. But too much going on in this one and far too long.. I was sooo thirsty for a drink but I couldn't leave Am glad we ate beforehand as I would have collapsed otherwise. Found Keira irritating and the whole multitudes of Jack Sparrows a bit cringeworthy and I thought POTC was more than that. There was too much going on at once and I found myself going 'wtf is going on?!' and asking the guy I was with what things were several times because you had to remember lots of stuff from the other movies. In the past when I have seen trilogy style movies, more than most of the time you didn't have to see the first or second ones to understand the third and they were films in their own rights... but not this. 4/10 - boring and very WTF?! I quite enjoyed the first one (although I got a bit bored halfway through), thought the second was utter crap and having recently listened to Doctor Kermode's review (you can download a video of his rant here) of the third, I have absolutely no desire to see the third. (watch the review, it's so funny and Kermode's quiff is impressive!)
Mrs. Feek took the kids to see the third and they quite enjoyed it. It had an interval in the middle and she said that it was needed because of the length of the film. I reckon they needed a break because the projectionist had died of boredom and they had to find a new one! Note: Mrs. Feek and the kids have no taste. They enjoy 'Most Haunted'.

I'm downloading Dr Kermode's rant just now, cheers for the link. Although I will probably go to see the film anyway I'm in no real hurry to do so.
I enjoyed the first film, thought the second was an awfully long way to bridge to the next film (so I concluded the director was a bit like Tarantino e.g. can't edit for toffee) and I'm hopeful that the third will be better but it still doesn't really conclude the series from what I've heard which is a bit **** if I'm honest. I'd much prefer if filmmakers concentrated on making one great film rather than a so-so franchise they can keep on spinning out, one hour of inspired genius is worth more to me than twenty hours of insipid blandness.

[ Spoiler]"Text goes here"[ /Spoiler] but remove the spaces from the tags.
Feek, thanks for the link to the rant, awesome is the only way to describe it. I'm now very glad I installed Real Alternative as otherwise I'd never have seen it. The quiff is indeed good but I think Mark Lemarr in his prime might have it beat. //edit I see you worked it out.

Type
and
- anything in between those will be hidden.
