I assume you hit the button to recalculate the scores as it doesn't do it automatically.

My hard disk is just a standard 400GB Samsung Spinpoint, so nothing special except for it being big.

Indeed I did.

I like Spinpoints - I have several in other rigs and think they're bloody good drives.
Can't remember exactly what my HDD is but I think it's an 80Gb (temporary) Hitachi Deskstar.

Managed to raise my RAM score by 0.1 by overclocking - got it running at 900MHz with timings of 4-4-4-12 now. Should be able to run at over 1000MHz (it's rated speed) but may have to slacken the timings a bit - dunno if I'll get my score any higher but I'll have a go.

Scores for my gaming rig are:

CPU - 5.9
RAM - 4.7
GFX - 5.9
GFX (Gaming) - 5.9
HDD - 5.3

So, overall score of 4.7.

Ahem.

Had a look on CPU-Z to see exactly what my settings were and noticed that my RAM was running in single channel mode - turns out, some noob had put the memory in the wrong slots

New scores:

CPU - 5.9
RAM - 5.3
GFX - 5.9
GFX (Gaming) - 5.9
HDD - 5.3

So, overall score of 5.3.

I'm sure I can get that RAM score up a bit yet but that won't affect my overall score, which will then be limited by the HDD. That won't improve until I get the Raptors.

One single 80Gb SATA drive at the moment. I just used that as a temporary disk until I can afford to get two Raptors to set up RAID0 on - simply to get that slight edge. I know the real world advantage will be virtually unnoticeable for most applications but I just fancy having the score that little bit higher.
