The Bionic Woman.
Just managed to catch the pilot of this and I'm undecided as to whether I'm going to like it or not. It's certainly action packed but is going to need a few episodes to develop either into something good, or something rubbish. I hope it's the former.
The base story is different to the original series in that her background is totally different and the new Bionic Doris has a bionic eye which I don't remember the original having. Some great uses of music in the pilot with very strong sequences using what I think is the same music which was used in 28 Days Later. I don't want to go into much detail because of spoilerage (nothing I've said above is a real spoiler) so I'll leave it at that and see what others think. Anyone else seen it yet?

Bionic Woman
This started in the US last week and I have to say I really enjoyed the first episode, it really has very little to do with the original 70s series and much like BSG (who it shares actors and producers with its much darker).
Michelle Ryan (ex Eastenders) is Jamie Sommers and does a very passable American accent and all in all quite a good job. Katee Sackhoff and Aaron Douglas (Starbuck and Chief) from BSG are both in EP1 although I don't know if they will be in the whole thing, I suspect not as they have been filming BSG S4 Woot! Well worth a look if the series is as good as the first episode, there were a few different versions of the pilot floating around, if anyone has seen the one where Jamie Sommer's sister is deaf then thats and old one, a lot of it has been re-shot. I saw the trailer and felt it looked really bad. I can't really remember what exactly, just an impression of "Oh dear."

30 minutes in, its not as bad as the trailer made it seem. Though having half the cast be from BSG is a little odd. They even use the BSG font. Its pretty interesting so far though. Just hope that it doesn't become a bit cheesy, like bionic women fighting each week.
