Up early this morning spannering. I changed the rear light cluster over & got my rear lights working legally. A complete Bodge even if i say so myself
Cut & chopped the wires & used gaffer tape to stick the clusters in the bumper Fully working & fully waterproof. Driving it on the road can only be described as like driving a tractor it's great fun, Everybody gets well out the way when i come round a corner that's for sure. Towed the other one back to my plot up place & have sorted out access to my mates yard & All his welding gear Next week is full on Jeep mission week so that she's ready for the next downpour & off road session. If i wasn't so busy helping a mate out this morning amongst my own missions i would have gone off road today. I do really need to give it the once over properly before hand though i s'pose. |

I bet you're waiting for thick snow so you can drag Mr. Sales Rep in his Mondeo out of the drifts and charge him a tenner for it
(I would be!)

Bonus this morning as i went out on the yard thinking i may have to sling the other gearbox in as my gearstick had gone all floppy (Oooo missus)
Turned out to be a collar on the base of the stick was knackered. I swapped it out for my spare gearstick & it is tighter than a penguins arse now Note to self though, Don't hang on to the gearstick whilst off roading I've done plenty off little jobs this week & am happy it's ready for the next off road session. Hopefully I'll remember to take my proper camera this time & get some decent shots. First thing in the morning though i am going to look at an Austin A40 my mate won on Fleabay today. He has the option to back away if he don't like it on sight & it's only down the road at Coventry. Looks great in the pics & still looks pretty straight & standard, even in the classic light blue still. No tax no seatbelts it will be Superb fun pottering around in that. I'll get some pics in the morning & let you know whether he gets it or not. |

Spent 80 minutes driving to the Desert in Mansfield today only to get turned away by the old bill. They were cool & explained that it's the chavs on bikes that's the problem & once they are sorted they won't deny access to Road Legal motors & sensible people.
Ended up going all the way back to Ellistown/Ibstock. So i spent 3 hours driving to get to a site 15 mins from my house O well thems the breaks on an Adventure a Another two Landys beaten by the Zook Some Flex for you. Took a while & the winch to get Craig's 90 out of here. Stuck but edging out. |
