Oooooh karma, i forgot to mention after my rant above, our boiled went kaput a week or so later

We didn't get a new one for about a month (it was over 10 years old i think though...)

we haven't worked it out yet, but to be perfectly honest we haven't tried either...

The boiler isn't difficult, it has one control and that's it. Your timer may be difficult, but it ain't the boiler!
