Cloverfield - May contain spoilers and traces of nuts.
Has anyone else been to see this yet? Just got back, really enjoyed it. Some nice twists on a very traditional subject.

Any hint of the motion sickness people have been complaining of?

It's meant to be all blair witch isn't it? With mega amounts of shaky cam running around and strobing etc.

Slight strobing, but lots (i.e. the whole film!) of camera shaking. It took me about 15 minutes to get used to it. At the end of the film, I felt like I had been in a car journey for 4 hours. Not sick, just unsettled.

We might not see it either Paula - was really looking foward to this but Kitten was sick after watching the Day After Tomorrow (the beginning bit where you 'fly' over the water). Physically sick then on the verge for most of the movie (didn't help we were sat down near the front).

Ditto. Though in all honesty I was dubious about seeing it anyway. Am I the only person who saw the trailer and didn't think 'wow'? I'm sure it will be OK, but lots of people were seeming to think it was going to be one of the best films of 2008. I just didn't get that from the trailer at all. Will definitely give it a go when it's out for rental though.

I went to see this last night and tbh I really wasn't impressed Some of the effects were pretty good and you could see they had quite a few original ideas for once, but overall I was disappointed. The guy I went with loved it though (although didn't like the way it ended) and Karl at work totally hyped it up too after seeing it Friday night so maybe it was just me, but meh - won't be getting it on DVD.

This is another one for my list of must watch. The style just seems interesting to me, different to the normal monster movies.
