Still I echo the sentiment, I hope The Colour of Magic is good. |

That's exactly what I thought too. I might acquire The Colour of Magic, I'll see what the reviews are like for it.

Once again Sky have managed to destroy a Pratchett book.
David Jason as Rincewind is a joke and once again none of the Pratchett humour shone though. Don't get me started on none of the Wizards smoking |

At least I'm not the only one then They have completely raped my memory of the book. The only thing I liked was the luggage. |

Wasn't sure if it was worth making a new thread, but I see Going Postal is on 30/31 May. Wish I had Sky but Sky has a 7 minute preview if anyone is interested, http://sky1.sky.com/sky-highlights-going-postal. Have to admit i've not read this one so fingers crossed its a bit better than the last two.

Haven't been particularly impressed with Colour of Magic or Hogfather - part of the problem was David Jason - he can't play both Rincewind and Albert... This looks better though. I have really enjoyed the Moist von Lipwig books too.
I'd love one of the Guards books to be adapted. Anyone see the animated version of Wyrd Sisters and Soul Music? I really enjoyed them.

Another one who just didn't like David Jason being in any of the previous adaptations of the books he wasn't anything like Albert from the books and dont get me started on him as Rincewind, i refused to watch Colour of Magic due to him playing Rincewind. Only good thing that came out of Hogfather was the guy who plays Death and Susan as characters.
Hopefully this adaptation is better as others have been let down by not getting the humour right and also poor casting in using David Jason in parts he should never have been anywhere near.
