They don't do the same TV anymore it's been replaced by a newer model which according to people on the av forums isn't as good so we're getting a panasonic screen instead. Did toy with the idea of the new LG but image retention is a big problem with them. Also get the free 5 year Panasonic warranty too

If there's one thing I know, it's Panasonic TV models (I was going to get one but in the end I did the cheapskate thing and got the cheapest I could find that did the job - it was only for the bedroom).
So, that's the latest version 42" plasma then. Good choice. |

Heh not to worry up till about 3pm yesterday we were going to get the 42PG6000 but changed our minds.

It seems to be the best choice. Can't afford a Pio as they are silly money. Only downside is the PC input doesn't have its own dedicated audio input as the Samsung did and the LG would have. It shares this with the component connection which means our DVD recorder couldn't have sound while the 360 is connected. A little thought and I've come up with 2 of these and both can use the audio connection and would never be used at the same time. That is until we get our surround system

I do have a Pio in the lounge, but I shouldn't have bothered given how much use it gets. Right now the cheapo (ish) one in the bedroom is getting more use, as I tend to use either that or the PC network, but if I'm watching something decent I'll use it.

I'm hoping to be getting into the HDTV craze soon.
Was thinking of getting one of the new Samsung 40" LCD panels. Sam says I can have one if I can save up half the money from doing overtime
