He drove the car into the scrap yard the next day. I'm willing to bet that he's never been off the road. It just makes a mockery of the entire bloody justice system.

That really grinds my gears. No pun intended, if one exists. Really sorry it turned out like that.

I do believe I would end up on the wrong side of the law if something like that happened to Tina or I. And I think I'll just leave it at that and not say any more.
Gutted for you Kate.

Lostkat, have you consider taking this through the Civil Courts? Since you are insured, your insurance company could bear the legal costs in the matter and sue the guy for damages. The guy prob won't have any money and never will have but its just a thought.

It's an option that we might go down, but it's too early to tell at the moment. They have to chase the insurance company of the car (his GF's insurance.. didn't cover in) for 3 months first, then they persue him and finally they go to the MIB. At the moment I'm just assuming the worst, so if I ever get anything back then it'll be a bonus. I'm currently about £800 down (excess, chiro, hire car) and have lost 2 yrs of NCB, so anything would be progress from here.

I'm fuming about this, the tosser deserves jail time, not a slap on the wrist and a ban for a license he doesn't have. Our justice system really is a joke at times

Have just read the updates after not being on here for a while and it's totally pissed me off.
Sorry to kick the settled dust back up over it again but this sort of thing really itches me. Especially when I read this: Totally ***** me off that you are deprived of what you've earned and owned just because of some ignorant ******* who didn't even get a slap on the wrist in my opinion. I'm off out to cool off. Really wish you all the best and hopefully it won't be long before you are driving something completely nuts again.
