I've found over the years that so long as you run a panel with sufficiently high resolution to start with, and one that isn't a cheap knock-off with poor hardware, then it's OK. Not as good as native, sure, but OK. Not that I'd notice if it wasn't, mind. |

With the LCD's i've owned, i've found running a non native resolution to be fine in most cases unless you get silly with the res. It doesn't quite compare to native, but the scaling in the ones i've owned (cheap and one expensive) seems to have been fine
