For some reason I instantly thought "Aunt Peg"

Unusual subject matter. I like number 3 - the clarity of the shot is intense.

I don't know how you get just one thing in focus and the rest blurred. Is that to do with manual focus or is it aperture? Or none?

Its the aperture Vix

Number 2 and 4 were shot with an aperture of 1.8 on my 50mm, gives it a really shallow depth of field

aye - clarity on 3 is amazing!! is that good quality lens, or a very short exposure?
