FOA Daz or sysadmin/storage type
Has anyone got any experience of IBM bladecentre S with HS21's?
I can't for the life of me get windows installed without BSOD on an array unless cut it to less than 2TB. There's no documentation saying there is a 2TB limit and I've used the latest firmware/drives on the SAS controllers/BIOS/chassis/MM - everything! |

No experience but does the 2TB limit come from Windows rather than the hardware? What version of Windows are you trying to install?

2003 enterprise SP2 x86. Disks over 2TB should be supported by GPT at this level. Even if they weren't they shouldn't just BSOD!

Arse!
Thanks though. Shame I'll up to chop up the storage now but at least I'm not gonna waste anymore time on it. |

Aye, gonna say, you need to keep the system and boot partitions off GPT

On the plus side those 15K SAS in RAID10 are a bit nippy
You can copy a file anything <500mb and it goes so quick the progress bar doesn't even flash up |
