They were a pop phenomenon, some of their music is timeless and classic, some is cheesy tosh but they changed the way music was viewed to a large degree. Hell they even had 'Beatlemania', films, dolls, people idolised them etc etc so if that doesn't suggest that there was something a bit special about them then I'm not sure what does. You don't have to like the music but I'd be surprised if most people didn't at least acknowledge they were fairly competent at what they did. They also had some pretty fantastic quotes such as (on being asked if Ringo Starr was the best drummer in the World): "..Ringo isn't even the best drummer in the Beatles.." or "We're bigger than Jesus". Quotes might not be exact but they are just from memory.

Why on earth they get all excited about making 10 yards, then bring a whole new team on, then have a break, then bring the other team back on.. .. then they have to have the padding etc to make them look tough.. Have the Amricans not ever seen Rubgy Union? .... And the obvious of course of why it's called Football when it isn't... Had a couple of americans visit a few years ago when the 4 nations was on. They kept asking when the defensive team was coming on.

One chap broke a finger and they were all going on about 'oh, thats him out for a couple of weeks'

As for jeans thats too big with there knock off ck/ben sherman pants its just horribe and makes them look like idiots just don't get it.
