I love being outside in the country, walking, running fishing (not all at the same time as that would be daft). It's a stark contrast to the city working life.. I don't mind camping but I love my own bed.

I LOVE it! Love love love love love it!
I'm a big star gazing fan so being outside in the middle of no where at night time is amazing to me! I think a good few of you have joined me flat on my back in the middle of no where/a car park/patios etc star gazing! Tis FANTASTIC! Camping is ace too! I love all the camp stories and zombie invasion talks and and bbq buckets and pouring rain and sunny sunshine! I think white water rafting has been my biggest highlight ever outdoorsy wise. Did it on the River Merced in America - was a 2 day jobby. Camping at night... literally in the middle of no where... THOUSANDS of stars.. it was the best ever! Though I nearly peed on top of a rattle snake - not so good! Skiing too. Nothing like the fresh air and powder snow and mountains! Nothing like it at all! *loves it* |

Know exactly where your coming from. Can't wait for the nights to start drawing in so I can get the Telescope in the back garden. From being a young boy to the present day, the sense of wonder has never left me.

I do a fair amount of trekking, only in cold countries though. Was up in Finland a few years ago, it was hitting -30 at times. My cupboard is full of maps, tents (lightweight ones), cooking gear etc. I loves it, and I'm glad other people do!

I go camping usually twice a year but it's for the car weekenders or Lemans. Love camping though. Haven't gone walking since I left school and I keep meaning to head up to the lakes or somewhere. I don't mind camping in the freezing cold and getting soaked but she doesn't so I guess I'll be waiting until next year now.

I have NEVER been camping!
Except once, I was staying in a tent in the garden for a night because someone bet i would be too scared to, and I had to go back in the house because I got food poisining off a hot dog at the cinema |

I am already planning a camping trip with Josh when he's older.
Fire, marshmallows, tea done in a old tin can, the works!
