Phone went crazy
Today my phone decided to commit phone suicide. It's a Sony Ericsson 850i with the little touch screen along the bottom of the display.
Unfortunately something has caused the touch screen area to now take over the entire keypad area so if it is touched the middle button including pressing the buttons the enter button is pressed. Which has resulted in some hilarious blank texts being sent to random people. Anyone heard of this happening before? I'm taking it into T-Mobile tomorrow to see what they say but wanted to know if anyone knows anything more. |

Not happened to me, but i'm not surprised, the K850i is possibly the worst phone SE have released in years. People on OcUK are needing replacements every few weeks, mine turns itself on and off several times a day, corrupts itself needing a master reset every couple of weeks, the camera is still broken etc. etc.
Do a master reset if you can get to it, quite possibly just the firm gone mental.

Would it matter? it's 10 months old its been abused as only i can to a phone, i even dropped it into a spoil heap and it got a bit buried once. I never have it in my back pocket so sitting on it however is unlikely. It was behaving perfectly until lunchtime today.

Yeah but although the older stuff had issues, it was still a relatively minority of phones that suffered, whereas I don't know a single person who has a decent working K850i.
I'd like to say my next phone won't be SE but without spending a bomb on top range models, no one else really makes anything nice any more...

I generally find Samsungs and Nokias are the ones that are hard as nails/rocks

My brother in law used to work for SE but got made redundant about five years ago.
Having said that, my current SE phone, the W880i is the best SE I've ever had, I didn't even realise that I'd had it for a year when I'd had it for a year, previously I'd always been looking to change after about 6-8 months!
