Default Hello & Woops

This is a value for money thread as it's a two for one deal.

Firstly, hello.

Don't know if anyone will know me here but I'm the Zico from the other side (I'm not sure if that place is allowed to be menioned or not).

Now for the 'woops' part.

I've just done a bit of online banking and paid £140 to the wrong credit card (on which I don't owe a penny). Now I'm not sure what to do or who to contact (tomorrow) to reverse the transaction (bank is Barclays and card is Barclaycard so pretty much the same people).

Any ideas on who I should contact first?

Hello Zico Good to have you aboard

If it were me I'd contact Barclays first, but I can't guarantee that's the best option Just what I'd do in that situation Is it still showing pending on your online banking or has it gone? I know with Lloyds TSB if I set up an online payment in the late evening/night, it doesn't go through for 2 days (i.e. in this case until Tuesday) because all the transactions for the day have already gone through.

The transaction is shown as complete though I'm pretty sure that in reality it needs two or three working days to clear completely. I will try to remember to call Barlcays' tomorrow from work to recede the payment.

Right off to bed before I make any more mistakes. Night.

Hi,

I'd contact Barclaycard and explain the situation see what they say. Failing that can't you simply just withdraw the money out if they say no? You'd take a hit of around £2-3 but it means would you get some of your money back.
