It's IE 7 as you might be able to guess from the screenshot, just thought I'd mention it anyway but if it works ok for the people who use it most no need to worry unduly if it isn't an easy fix.

Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped writing about other things and made this your signature, yours could be like mine. Look down, back up. Where are you? You're on Boat Drinks, reading the signature your signature could be like. I'm on a computer. |

What do radio 4 know???
Seriously though Twitter is great for small updates but not for longer posts. I see Twitter as a simple way to keep in touch with people and let them know if you are going somewhere so they can meet you.

Surprisingly Radio 4 are on the ball there. Twitter is gaining some serious ground now. Its had some issues in the past with downtime and things but they seem to be ok now. Its first real break, I think, was SXSW in 06. Lots of people using it allowing others who couldn't attend to feel like they were there. Real time conversations and things. Very popular with social media specialists. Its got a big thing going on with the US elections too. I watched the recent debate with a twitter overlay. Interesting to see what people were saying. Now there are some bigger things happening. I hear that Britney Spears now has a twitter account. Of course its not her, its her marketing team. Thats going to pull in people. Then theres location aware Twitter. Using Twinkle on my iPhone I can see what the locals are up to, which is often quite interesting. I can also chat to them. It was great to twitter about La Machine with people and then to bump into a guy in town who said "Hey, its me from twitter!"
Blogging has its place but Twitter is definitely the new thing. How many people update their Facebook status? Thats basically Twitter but inside FB. I've got my Twitter account plugged so I just Twitter. I even got a new camera bag out of it as a company who makes camera bags follows my account and sent me one to test drive. http://twitter.com/petemc

In my not so very humble opinion, most blogs are superfluous rubbish, and little more than an excuse for people to indulge in a bit of public self-worship. :/
