Default My Jeep got some new shoes today.

Last week I went over to Walmart to get some tyres. Working there I get a REALLY good price on them. $55 a tire for 235/75X15 Goodyear Wrangler A/T's.

Well, the monkey takes my Jeep into the bay, puts the air ratchet on the first lugnut, pulls the trigger and proceeds to strip the lugnut out because he still had it on tighten.

I eventually calmed down enough to be able to drive over to Fakler Tires and ask them if they would like an interesting challenge.

That's what it took to finally get my wheel off. We had to chisel the lug nut off with an air hammer and beat the **** out of the wheel with a 10 pound sledge hammer.

So today I managed to find a matching rim at the wrecking yard and the guys over at Fakler put on some brand new Chaparral 31X10.50X15 M/T's. It cost me a bunch more than I had budgeted for tyres, but they are a superior tyre to the Goodyears, they are bigger (YAY!!), and they come with a FAR better warranty.

Now I just need to scavenge up a slightly taller pair of front springs so I can put the existing fronts on the back and end up with a 2" lift all around!!

I'm sorry, they ruined your wheel and you had to go and find a new one and pay more for new tyres? I'd have wanted a new set of rims and free tyres tbh!
