I managed to avoid this, in Leeds there was nothing but it was damn cold. Last night as I was coming back down I could see the storm over chelmsford way right the way from the A1->A14 turn off, so a good 80 miles away. There were some damn impressive forks generated.

Got back to c'ford train station that day to find an inch of 1/2inch hailstones to walk on. Was interesting in nice slippy trainers
