Just a sprinkle of depleted Uranium and TNT for that extra sparkle.

Unfortunately for me the fireworks here were a let down. I've seen fireworks of some of the best buildings in Liverpool so to see some in a dark field was meh. Spent half the event on IRC.

I'm going to Alexandra Palace on Saturday. Not only do I get to see a good fireworks display but I also get to see every other display across London and there's a German beer festival going on - Bonza! Although I'm actually more looking forward to getting back to my local to warm myself up with a hot toddy

Newbury's main fireworks were last Saturday. A week before I was determined to go (first time ever), as they're within walking distance of home. On the day I looked out the door. It was persisting down. I went back inside.
The event wasn't cancelled - it's run by a charity so they had no choice. Apparently 2,500 people still turned up, but that was half as many as last year. Someone local was setting them off from their back garden last night as I could see those over the houses. Last edited by Mark; 06-11-2008 at 18:49. |

It was throwing it down. Hopefully the one at Springfield on Friday will be dry.
