There have been some impressive advances in virtual breast dynamics recently, I wonder if they have to limit geek exposure to one hours work on the breasts done in rotation to stop them from having some form of accident.

Funny isn't it, but I'd have preferred Catwoman to zip them up

I was actually more shocked by the lack of Scorpions trademark 'get over here!' line

hmmm... the whole 'smash through one specific part of the wall and fall down to a lower level while fighting before slamming your opponent into the floor' thing looks like it could get pretty tiresome quite quickly, as it seems very scripted. It was an identical sequence in both fights, which would get boring i think.

It was done brilliantly in Dead or Alive 2, which by the way, is probably the most underrated (and best) 3D fighting game of all time.

It wasn't identical. In the Scorpion sequence there were 2 reversals, which perhaps indicate that with some well timed blocking/reversal moves, you could slam your opponent into the ground instead of being the one slammed.

Fighters Megamix on the Saturn is still the best 3D fighting game I've every played. Nothing has come close to it so far.

Well obviously the moves weren't but the camera view etc. the way it played out was pretty much exactly the same. If it's just that one bit of wall that can be smashed and that same sequence that occurs every time, it will get old very fast.

I actually bought a Saturn for that game and it was great, it's just bringing the styles from stuff like Fighting Vipers, Virtua Fighter and others it didn't feel like one game, but a mish-mash of styles.
Some games aren't supposed to be fought at the 'slower' pace of Virtua Fighter, so you ended up having the best fights with fighters from the same franchise. It was however, despite these personal flaws, an exceptional game and one of the best games of all time for value for money. It also helped that the Saturn pad one the finest piece of gaming equipment outside of an arcade stick for fighting games ever created (and even then, only Sega's own Arcade stick for the Dreamcast was better). |
