Oh, there's a 2nd reason I'm not happy with Game either. When I rang them up to find out what was happening with my order (before I got that email), they said they had literally just received stock, and it would be sent out tomorrow. No real problem, except I always get my games delivered to work. Which is shut on a Saturday, which is when the game would arrive. I explain this and ask them if they can kindly change the delivery address for me, so I don't have to fanny around going to the post office depot to collect it, which will cost me around £3 on the bus. They tell me they can't, for security reasons. This is despite the fact that Gameplay, who happen to be owned by the Game.co.uk group, could change the delivery address for me on my Scene It order, a week ago.

Not impressed at all. May have to start ordering from elsewhere, not been impressed by the service from Game or Gameplay in the last week :/

Davey go to www.shopto.net

May look a bit amateur-ish but damned if the game isn't in my hands thursday before release. Which I promptly open in the staff canteen for giggles

If your feeling particularly clever you can setup ordering by text message too....

How does that work? Do they store your card details and charge it when you order a game by text?

You can save your details on your site, when you put your details in you can save your mobile (they text you when your game is loaded onto a shipping van, so you know you get it next day from then).

You then text their Text Number (07786205602) with the games txt code such as XB2CA13 (Call of Duty: World at War [Xbox360]) and then it gets shipped. Handy if you don't want to sign in at work or if you're in a rush and browsing the site on your phone. I believe the SMS numbers are structured, i.e. XB2 = Xbox360 (Xbox2), CA(ll of duty) 13 (13th version?). A good example is Gears of War 2, which from the example above is XB2GE02.

It's a nice feature and just adds another way to order. It now seems you get £1 off your next order on every text order too.

ShopTo will be where I buy my games for friends closer to Xmas due to their 3 day none-arrival setup, where if a game hasn't arrived after 3 days they'll send another out. I know this could come in very handy over the Xmas rush (they will probably change it to 5 days though). I know my friend was gutted when Gears of War 2 didn't arrive from Gameplay and he had to wait 2 weeks.
