Screen is messed up, need help please.

Got into work this morning to find that my screen on the monitor is messed up for some reason. The resolution is normally set at 1280*1024, which it still is, but for some reason to I can only view part of the screen at 1 time, to see other parts of my desktop I have to move my mouse and the screen moves with it.

For example, right now I can only see the top left of the desktop, to view the taskbar I have to move my mouse down, to see the right side I have to move the mouse to right and so on.

Anyone got any idea how to fix this? Nothing has changed from me using this yesterday when it was fine.

Running xp pro all patched up.

EDIT: Nevermind, a restart seems to have fixed it

Some PCs detect when you switch the monitor off and try to output to TV/other output, usually in some other display mode. My laptop does that sometimes (switches to the internal display) which soon gets annoying (I don't use the internal display unless I absolutely have to).
