Unhappy My back hurts. A lot.

Yesterday I had a mad dash at twenty past seven to get up and get dressed and get Mrs. Feek to work for half past seven. I got home and collapsed back into bed to wake up an hour later with a sore back. Not much, just a twinge behind my left shoulder.

It got a bit worse during the day but today it's really deteriorated. My whole upper back is really hurting, I can barely turn my head because it's gone into my neck so my head is sitting at a Stephen Hawking type angle as that's how it's most comfortable. I probably just laid awkwardly in bed but it's knackered me totally.

So I'm suffering. I need sympathy.

I have beer, and I have cheese so I'm all stocked up on two of the three important things in life

Hmm I had this from the 23-27th December and it appeared out of no-where. It was a sharp pain in my back, and made itself apparent when I breathed in, or coughed mostly. Upon waking up in the morning my back would be stinging for a few hours. As a result I couldn't even work out much during the start of my Xmas hols (bad excuse I know )

It just vanished after much resting ala sitting in front of the PC on irc

A very hot tub with a box of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) dissolved in it will help relax the muscles. At least it does for me...

I've done that on two occasions and it's absolute agony (the pulling of that muscle, not the acupuncturist). I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Both times was also when I was in bed, one waking up with it, the other getting out of bed.

Lose weight, 2/3 of your body weight above your waist, first thing I am doing is losing weight aka fat, I am over weight and I always feel it in my back, I am stocky but the upper body really does make a difference.

When I pick my niece up I have to arch my back and she is 2+ stone and I feel the pinch in the discs.

Sounds like Siatika (sp?) I get it quite often, The trick is to Not sit down or stop moving, I know this seems ridiculous but Trust me it's the Best option.
