If it doesn't improve then I'll be off to the docs first and see what he says. I really think this is muscular because it's so similar to what I did a few weeks ago when I strained my lower back. Not had a great time with it recently.

Did the alcohol help?
My back problems all went away when I returned to a job which involved physical work and lifting things. Sitting at a desk getting weak is to blame.
