I'm about whenever I'm not working

Which unfortunately for the next week or so is not as often as I'd like.

I didn't think it would come on a Saturday and was all "

" thinking I would have to wait until next weekend to play!

Now I can play it today! WOo woo!

I have some work to do first so will get that done but will play around later! Yay! xxx

A general observation, possibly a little too much thought in it buuut....

Left 4 Dead. The piccie on the front. Either the designers are being very clever or I'm reading too much into it buuut.

It's a "Left" hand. It has "4" fingers on it. And judging by the lackage of thumb, it's obviously a "Dead" persons hand.

Left. 4. Dead.

Just like that! *removes silly Tommy Cooper grin from face*
Similar to the whole Phones 4 U (I had to stop typing and actually sign that then. How sad) Too much thought do you think?!

NB. Before you call me a saddo, I was doing some VAT returns when I "realised" this as I stared at the box longingly, wishing the day was over and I was zombie shooting away

It probably also has to do with the fact the game revolves around what seem to be the only 4 left, and they've been left for dead.

It works on so many levels

Yeah, it's a very good visual representation of the title on the cover, the title works well as the story of the game too and the 4 also stands for the 4 player co-op it's based around.

It took me a couple of days to spot they'd left the thumb off, but seconds later I realised it was completely intentional and just a further play on the title. I'm guessing the entire game is based on the initial conception of the title, but because they realised it was a bit Steven Seagal cheesey they chose to theme the game in the same cheesey movie title style (Death Toll etc.). If it was called Left 4 Dead and was just a straightforward zombie shooter it would come across a bit B-movie, but they've cleverly made it tongue-in-cheek with a couple of flourishes..
