My new job....
...they are sending me to Brecon for 3 days on mountain skills training, all expenses paid on the 27th-29th April... I haven't even got my uniform yet.. heck, I haven't even left my old job

What's even more amazing is how it only costs £40 return to get there from here (Maidstone, Kent)... and half of that is just to get to London.. ridiculous tbh!!

If you can avoid London the ticket price will be so much cheaper. It's utterly stupid how much it adds. Doing home->gatwick->reading->bath spa was ridiculously cheaper for me and a previous gf than home->clapham junction->bath spa.

Nice!In a similar vein, my work is paying me to get drunk tonigh with my mates. "Vodka training", probably not as healthy but i'd be doing it anyway, so i see it as a bonus that i'm saving money
