Default Back from my hols

Just got back (well back a week ago but only just got my brain in gear) from a fantastic trip with one of my mates to Nam, Cambodia and Pervertsville with Exodus. http://www.exodus.co.uk/holidays/aox.html

I never did the travelling thing in my yoof as I could never see the appeal. I can see the appeal now but I'm now certain that I'm more of a nice hotel and tour guide kind of person.

It was my first time in Asia and I'm certainly going back there next year, thinking of celebrating my 29th birthday in Sihanoukville with a diving course as it's something that I've wanted to try for a few years now.

Main thing that I've got from this trip is a new found hatred of 18-19 year olds. While we could drink them under the table they emerged at 6am to enjoy the sunrise with a fat one while we were written off until at least lunchtime

Can definitely recommend Cambodia though Phnom Penh is only really good for one day, Genocide museum is interesting but having done Auswitch it didn't really have much of an effect and I'm not really too sure why there is all the fuss about the Killing Fields, I was bored within 20 minutes and ended up hunting down somewhere I could buy coffee. Angkor Wat was brilliant.

Vietnam was a really strange place, our guide probably summed it up best... We have a Communist government but a Capitalist population. Mekong Delta was great and the Cu Chi tunnels were really interesting though I must admit to having a tiny panic attack while I was down there (in the speciallly widened tunnels for Westerners) as enclosed underground spaces are my Kryptonite.

I so wish I'd done some travelling before I got a job and a house!
