Thats the bit I was referring to.
I know the post was about the Wii but he did say that the PS3 is a November launch.

Ok, serious question time. These free 360 offers are all core's, of course, so what would I need to buy ontop of that to make me reasonably comfortable? I'm thinking hard drive & gold subs at the mo. Also, what video connectivity does it have out the box?

I believe the differences between the core and premium packs are: wireless controller (core has wired), xbox live headset, ethernet cable, HD component cable (core has a composite cable).
Out of the box, you'll just get a composite lead if you have the core package, but premium has an HD component lead. |

Hmm, cant be having that. My TV will take component, DVI or VGA, and I'd better use one of them for the 360. I'd live with a wired controller for a while, have plenty of cat5 knocking about (including a box with about 60M in, some RJ45's and a couple of crimps ), dont know if I'm bothered about a headset (would depend on how many people I actually know use it. No interest in talking to randoms).
So getting some prices off play, looking at about £15 for a component, or £20 for a VGA cable, and 65 BASTARD QUID FOR A 20GB HARD DRIVE :O:O:O

£65 for a 20gb hdd?? Jeez talk about bending over and taking it roughly!
I'm considering getting one, i've been looking at the price of games and they are normally about £40 where I have been looking. Is this right or is there a cheaper outlet? Just looking at play.com |

I've been meaning to find out which would give me the best pic - HD Component or VGA (I'm already using the HDMI & DVI inputs on the TV). I do know what the 360 will upscale DVDs when outputting through VGA, but I've already got an upscaling DVD player hanging off the DVI port so that doesn't bother me.
