Print Servers
My dad has decided to refit his 'study' and wants to shift the printer off the desk. Currently have an older HP Laserjet 6P (parallel, no network port) and can't afford to replace it right now.
Looking for a print server, preferably wireless - any reccomendations? A little bit out of my depth on this. Did find this which I think fits the bill nicely but not too sure. Thanks

I'm not a fan of Edimax stuff having had a few of them fail at work but they're cheaper than the HP (the only brand I buy) equivalent.

Fair enough.
Unlikely to see heavy use these days (used to print a tennis club magazine). There is a belkin one kicking around but that doesn't support Vista apparently otherwise I'd snap it up in a second.... Not seen any HP stuff around but then again I've not looked very hard yet.

TBH I'd rather use Edimax than Belkin - I absolutely loathe Belkin crap.
I don't see why the OS should be an issue unless the print server is crap enough to require client side software to be installed. |
