I was hoping for mindless but fun FPS action :/ It's definitely mindless but just not grabbing my interest. Shame really.
Glad I didn't pay a lot though!

Just finished Lost Odyssey, hmmm, difficult one.
The gameplay mechanics were great and early on there were some really challenging enemies that really made you think about what you were doing. As the game began to open up in disk 3 however i started to explore, find powerful treasures and really plough my way through without issue. I didn't have a problem with this as i assumed the 'end game' content would be tough as nails, but it wasn't. Every end game dungeon was a doddle, the snow plains and seth's hideout took less than 10 mins to complete each, the only one with potential was the Temple of Enlightenment but the enemies were too weak and the puzzle mechanic became slow and frustrating. Speaking of frustrating, after spending an hour and a half wondering around the temple of enlightenment without finding a save point, those short animations at the start of a battle become very annoying, i reckon a good 10 mins of my time in that dungeon was spent staring at the wall of the dungeon as the camera panned around to the battle. As already stated in the past, the storyline is nothing to write home about, but functional. Same goes for the characters. Another disappointment was the backyard battles, they could have been so much more difficult with more interesting restrictions (the one where you could only use mortals was quite cool) but they missed out. Even the final enemy (the immortal) was a doddle, killed him in less than 10 turns. I've pretty much done everything in the game i'm willing to do now, i will not be playing to collect every treasure for example, and along with that i will not be collecting every skill or spell. I will also not be paying for DLC in order to 1k the game. But, negatives aside, i've very much enjoyed it. It's the best traditional JRPG i've played since FFX which is high praise indeed. I just wish they had paid more attention to either the characters and plot or the endgame content to provide more of a challenge. One or the other would have moved it from a very good JRPG to an excellent one, shame. Now to thrash Forza 2 before Forza 3 is released.

You don't need the DLC for 1000, the DLC raises it to 1100. I got 980 without it (I didn't bother getting all the treasures).
Good summary though |

duuuur. [EDIT] Oh the final boss was rather amusing too, the mortals kept 'helping me' when i still had max health etc. I assume the meteor shower spell he casts is meant to wipe my party? Because i had persistence which stops my team from KOing so they all survived without issue.

I finished Wolverine yesterday, and it was an enjoyable game. Was longer than I thought it would be, but I was following a guide to make sure I got all the dog tags and mutagens so that would have made it a bit longer as I was referring to it all the time. Need to get the review of it written tonight as I don't want any reviews hanging over me and needing to be done the day before I go on my honeymoon!

Replaying the GH2 carrer for fun. Forgot how hard tier 2 songs were in comparrison to RB2. However, I did get 98% on Hangar 18 =/. 5 starred Jordan too (which is still an arse when SP doesn't activate)

I do hate you Chris, Hangar 18 still kicks my ass most of the time (even though I know I can now beat it), but Jordan still whoops me every single time!
