My ditzy moment with an audience..

... As most of you know I was at the Magic Circle last night in London just bobbing around and seeing what it's all about. Every Monday they hold a gathering where magicians come and perform and/or have lectures about the trade. It's a truly beautiful and lovely place!

I had a bit of a silly moment there when I was called up on stage though whilst they were doing a performance. The magician there asked me to assist him in cable tying his thumbs together so he couldn't get them apart. He then asked members of the audience to throw large rings up at him where he caught them and they penetrated through the cable ties.

After doing this...

Magician: "So Clare, will you take the rings and hold them for me whilst I just give them a little pull.." *magician pulls and the rings spring back through the cable ties*
Audience: *applauds*
Me: *woo woo*
Magician: "Excellent... now if you wouldn't mind, throw the rings off stage to the stage hands... that's right"
Me: *turns to the side and throws the rings off to the stage hands behind the curtains*
Magician: "Brilliant. Now Clare, you see those gloves over there on the small stand, what I would like you to do is put them on"
Me: *walks over to the stand and puts on the gloves with a wiggle*
Magician: "Superb, now take the towel and throw it off stage"
Me: *picks up the towel and throws it.... off the front of the stage into the audience*
Magician and Audience: AaaaaaaHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAhahahaHHAHAHAHAHAa
Me: "Oh oops! Like off stage as in to the people back stage! HAhahaa! Whoopsy!"
Magician: "Oh Good God, I'm about to ask you to do something very dangerous... I'm not sure I've picked the right participant! I can see I will need to be very careful with my wording!"
Me: "heeeeeeEHEhehehhe"


Stupid me! Still, managed to make the Magic Circles people laugh!
