Heh, my 120GB is nearly full. I need the super elite

I'm waiting for MS to release a slim one (with natal maybe), then I'll be tempted. Old one can be a Sky Player box upstairs then.

The other excuse I used is that my old console is now a year old so changing it will make things easier if something does go wrong with it from an exchange point of view. Last time a 360 died on me I couldn't be bothered with the effort of sending it back and fighting to get it fixed for free so I bined the core and bought an arcade and stuffed the old 20Gb in that, didn't even change the power and video leads for the new ones, just the console and power pack.

My only real excuse for getting the Elite was the colour too. What a whore.

Interesting. I was at Teesside Park and there is a sign outside now with them matching the deal which will work for those wanting to trade towards it (of course, this means you can't transfer your data).

But GAME will match it now.

Right, just traded a whole load of old games, the new games I got with the Elite, my old console, HDD and memory card and got ~£230 with £100 credit and £130 cash. As I wasn't using any of the old stuff I call that a £35 gain, at least I will when I justify why the 360 has suddenly turned black to the wife
