The Taking Of Pelham 123

Action/Thriller staring Denzel Washington and John Travolta. Basically if you have seen any other Action/Thriller staring Denzel then you have seen this film. Not necessarily a bad thing but you will see the plot coming a mile away so best to disengage that brain before you hit the play button.

The Great Escape

First time I properly watched it from start to finish, rather than catching random bits on TV. Awesome movie with some great moments of tension. Music is top-notch throughout and it never fails to both amuse and break your heart in equal measures. Poor little Donald Pleasance.

Youth In Revolt.

9/10. I'm a big Michael Cera fan though.

Law-Abiding Citizen

Gerard Butler almost acting for once! Big name actors in this so surprised I hadn't heard of it. A little contrived, but a hugely original plot if rather far-fetched. After half an hour we were already at the point where normally you'd have expected the film to be ending, but this is no typical revenge film. Almost SAW-like in its unravelling, I really relished the scheming and one-step-aheadedness (!) of the main character's plan, ten years in the making.

I really enjoyed Law-Abiding Citizen
Didn't expect to as the trailer was abysmal and Butler seems to make some terrible choices, but it was surprisingly good fun and quite original considering!
