Irrational things that annoy you (and non irrational things too come to think of it)

Councils that close one of the main routes into Bristol for a whole week, and then only do half a job filling in the pot holes.

Oh and along that route, doing a crap job filling in said pot holes, so that they are pot holes again 5 minutes later.

Think yourself lucky. They've closed my main route into town for a month!

Whether they'll fix the potholes, no idea, but they'd actually have to expend effort to make it worse than it was.

You can BOTH think YOURSELVES lucky! The main route into work (the city) for us was closed down from three lanes to one (this is the major A road that runs the length of Liverpool>Manchester, and THAT ONE LANE was also supposed to accomodate all the slip road traffic coming off the motorway, including those that were crossing to get to the next motorway 1/2 a mile further down. This started on the 15th OCTOBER and carried on until 27 December. We thought we'd got off with it until 5 January rolls around and guess what? They're back until the MIDDLE OF MARCH!!!!! ONE BLOODY LANE!! Of course the snow caused downing of tools so we not only had no serviceable A-road, but what we did have was COMPLETELY BLOODY SHUT bar one lane to take ALL the traffic coming into Liverpool!! Our half hour commute now takes at least an hour and usually more! IN BOTH DIRECTIONS!!!

I'll grant you that one. In my case it's another incentive for me to walk - which takes no longer road closure or not. Still annoying on the rare occasion I have to get transport though.

That bloody cyclist who pressed the button on the Pelican crossing on the Woodstock Road in Oxford while I was on my way home, then cycled half way across said crossing and then carried on in my lane of traffic. CHUMP!
