I adored Mirror's Edge, it's one of the finest games of the generation in my eyes, I loved the whole challenge of it, the speed runs and time-trials were truly marvelous and actually better than the story of the game. I managed a full 1000/1000 run of it.

I am enjoying it but some parts of it are frustrating me when I'm not 100% sure which way I have to go.

Always go towards red. There are a couple of places that might throw you, but that's the rule of thumb, it'll steer you right more often than not.
If you're still stuck, watch some Speed Run videos on YouTube, it will show you where to go (as well as how fast it can be done.) |

It's normally when I'm outside, the amount of times I've ran one way to suddenly realise that I should have gone another way, but I suppose it helps make it seem less linear.

Just downloaded the demo for Torchlight and loving it. It also runs very well on my laptop which is nice so tempted to buy the full game now.

Currently playing Burnout Paradise on the 360 and very slowly playing through Unreal 2 on the PC as I never really got round to playing it at the time.

It will be very slow plaing Unreal 2 because, hands down, that game has THE slowest walking speed of any game I can ever remember

Haha, true. I was prepared to put that down to it being slow due to my laptop but if other people have found that too maybe it's not just me. It's also not very interesting so far but I figure I might as well play it a bit more to see if it gets better.

Unreal 2 is nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be, it's just a shadow of its former glory (Unreal). I enjoyed it and still remember the climax of the storyline to this day.
I've finished God of War 3, in terms of gameplay it was a fitting ending, the battle scenes were epic, the controls were polished to a near perfect sheen, the characters were as gruesome and unpleasant as usual. Sadly the storyline ending wasn't quite what i was hoping for however there's apparently a free epilogue in the works which i'm looking forward to. I've also got stuck back into FFXIII, i thought i'd really give Pulse a good going over. I've completed nearly all of the missions but have hit a difficulty wall. To put it short, there's no way i can progress without grinding CP and Gil for hours on end now. The only way to beat the remaining enemies is to totally bulk out my characters, tactics aren't viable as they just spam incredibly powerful AOE attacks so i need more HP to survive and better weapons to chip away the stupid amounts of health they have. Tbh i'm not happy, i got through what many say are very difficult fights, even with high level characters, with a comparatively weak party because i used clever tactics. Now there's nothing left to do but either grind, or put the game back on the shelf, a good set of tactics won't get me anywhere as the enemies are just stupidly strong after the point i'm at. I hate grinding so the choice seems obvious. What also bugs me is that the best way to grind at the point i'm at is via lame tactics (spamming the Death spell on strong enemies and hoping they die before you do), surely tactics should be rewarded above perseverance? Here's hoping for Final Fantasy VS XIII.... ... oh and that resonance of fate looks good too.
