Shandy is < 0.5%, most 'alcohol free' drinks are ≥ 0.5%. Seems to imply that < 0.5% isn't subject to the licensing laws but ≥ 0.5% are. No?

Licensing Act 2003, Section 191: Meaning of “alcohol”
(1) In this Act, “alcohol” means spirits, wine, beer, cider or any other fermented, distilled or spirituous liquor, but does not include— (a) alcohol which is of a strength not exceeding 0.5% at the time of the sale or supply in question, Prize goes to Burble. |

Few things I keep meaning to post
* Having to sit in the passenger seat of a car with someone who dawdles along when they drive *Abba - I don't know why but they just give me the rage! *Buses that say "Sorry not in service" Why are they apologising? It's ok to have a day off, just get off the roads and out of my way! And breathe.... |

I wander around when I'm on the phone too. I don't know what it is with phone calls but, I can be sitting down for an hour not moving but as soon as my mobile rings, I stand up before I answer it so I can pace. Not particularly irrational but, people who expect you to have no free time at all. My shift finishes at 18:00 but I have a meeting at 19:00 every evening so, technically, I'm working until 19:30. I was heading up to the smoke shack for a ciggie last night at 20:30. When I walked past the company man's (client representative) office on the way, he called me in and said "I've been tannoying you for ages, where have you been?" I ALREADY WORK 14 HOURS A DAY, AM I NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE A ****ING SHOWER OR SIT IN MY CABIN FOR AN HOUR WHEN I'M NOT ON SHIFT?

Political campaigners who feel it's perfectly acceptable to knock on my door and ask me in the most patronising voice: "Hello young man, who are you voting for?"
I should* have responded with a request to see his exact bank balance as we're on such personal terms *(but didn't)

Another work related one. Pointless communications.
Just had a call from the operations "manager" in Cairo asking for an update because I hadn't called since I came to the rig - apparently, I'm supposed to call him every day. We've had the same argument about a dozen times. He gets an e-mail at the end of each shift with a summary of operations for the shift plus a daily report which duplicates the same information. Why would I need to waste my time and his by phoning to tell him the same information he has already received twice? If there are any issues which require his attention outwith these regular reports, I will let him know at the earliest opportunity. It's an absolute nightmare trying to get important information from our Cairo office - often only achieved by CCing his boss on an e-mail requesting the information - and yet he insists on maintaining unnecessary and pointless communications

Having to answer the same question over and over! I was talking to a customer about the possible delivery dates of Adobe CS4 Creative Suite Design Standard. No matter how many times I said it would be delivered on Friday, and not before....
(this post was brought to you in jest)

Patronising people, especially when they're younger than me and CRAP. I'm in a permanent state of rage at work.
