Default Xbox 360 Elite Waranty info?

Hi guys,

I'm planning on buying an Xbox 360 Elite off my cousin.

I'm dodgy about buying an Xbox without a receipt though, however I've just registered the console for him and it says Your Standard Warranty expires on June 29, 2011.

If the console ever needed to go back to Microsoft for repair, would they need to see a proof of purchase as he doesn't have one?

Cheers!

I never had the receipt for mine either and warranty return went without a hitch.

Same here, returned two now, both have been handled impeccably without a need for a receipt.

It's a 3 year warranty for the 3 red lights, so you'll be fine getting it fixed for free

You've got two choices, you can either ring them on 0800 587 1102 (open 8am to 10pm) or go to https://myservice.xbox.com/en-gb/Pages/Welcome.aspx and arrange the repair from there
