Inciting panic is their reason to exist. It's the same with the economy. If it wasn't for Huw Edwards constantly banging on about the impending threat of Greece defaulting on some loan somewhere is going to cause world war three and if we're not careful we'll fall into the deadly sounding DOUBLE DIP recession and the only people who can afford their heating are the bank bosses who are being paid all our tax in bonuses... none of us would really care about it.

All we'd see is that some of us, or some of our friends, have been made redundant because their company has gone to the wall.... although that's nothing specific to the current issues. Companies fail all the time. It's just (bad) business as usual.

So, mr newsreader, please stop trying to tell us we're all DOOMED, DOOMED I TELL YE!

I got up at 6am to clear the snow, ended up being at my desk by 7:15am. The LOCAL radio keeps going on about how icy and dangerous it is, there's water on the road, not ice, water.
