NFS: Most Wanted
Hadn't played any form of driving game in a long long time, probably since Midtown Madness 3 on my old XBox but saw some screen shots of this game and thought i'd give it a go. It's become my second most played game (behind PES ). I know it's very arcadey but that definately adds to the attraction, i used to hate messing up a whole race because of 1 silly mistake on less forgiving games. What really adds to it all for me is the way you can baz up your car, makes it a bit more personal. I've just bought myself a Ford Mustang GT as a present after beating black list member 12 and spent about 30 minutes making it look uber . Love this game at the moment .

It is a really good game but like you say very arcadey, it is fairly easy to complete though if you have the time(one of the challenge series 'races' is over 30 minutes long). I quite liked the way after beating the blacklisters you could bet them for the pink slip so it is an easy way to get a new and better car which is great for keeping your heat level down.

I like the NFS series of games, very arcadey but good fun
Not got round to playing Most Wanted, need to get it for a console really as it doesn't feel right to me on a PC.

Do you get HDR effects on a console? I really like them on this game, nothing like being slightly blinded after just going over a crest / coming out of a tunnel and driving straight into a wall .

I'm not sure actually. I've only played it briefly on the 360 a while back.

Tut tut, you are just trying to talk yourself into getting a 360 now aren't you If your PC is reasonably decent then the game looks good, some of the lighting is really good/annoying like CliffyG says.

Lol no I'm not It's on the xbox and ps2 as well I just prefer games like that on the console. I played NFSU2 on the PC originally but got it on the xbox now and prefer it. Maybe I'm just odd

Here's a pic of the lighting (couldnt find a good spot to get the sun shining in my eyes):
And a couple of my sexy car : Hmm, screenies make the graphical quality look a bit pants. Could be the resizing of the images maybe?

I didn't complete everything for the first few blacklist races as i didn't realise there was any more to do. Can i do them again or are they gone for good? I hate leaving stuff unfinished.
